In this second edition of Die Geschwülste des Gehirns, Oppenheim has added new material and has devoted more detailed treatment to the etiology of brain tumors. He also expanded the section on symptomatology to deal in greater depth with symptoms emanating from various parts of the brain. First published in 1902, the work appears here with second editions of his work on syphilis (see No. 2208) and his work on encephalitis and brain abscesses (see Nos. 2210 and 2211) which was coauthored by Richard Cassirer and published in the 1909 edition as Volume IX, Part II of Nothnagel's Handbuch.
