In addition to Bigelow's work The mechanism of dislocation and fracture of the hip. With the reduction of the dislocations by the flexion method (see No. 1862), several other papers by Bigelow on the subject are included, one of which is published here for the first time. The second part of the volume includes his important paper "Rapid lithotrity with evacuation" (see No. 1864) as well as additional contributions on lithotrity, and litholapaxy.
