JOHN BURNE (1794?-1880) A treatise on the causes and consequences of habitual constipation. Haswell, Barrington, and Haswell 1840 164 p. 23 cm.

John Burne, M.D., was born in Worcestershire and studied medicine at Edinburgh. He was admitted a Licentiate of the College of Physicians in 1823 and a Fellow in 1838. After having been physician to the Public dispensary, Dr. Burne was selected physician to the Westminster hospital in 1835. He resigned in 1842, shortly after which he removed to Tiverton, and about 1850, to Bath.
