Albinus intended this work to be a continuation of Tabulae sceleti et musculorum corporis humani (see No. 831) and it contains life-size depictions of the bones of the adult human body. The plates, executed by Wandelaer, were begun as early as 1727 and each of the thirty-four finished plates is accompanied by an outline plate containing letters and explanatory textual material.
