Seven of the plates depict a life-size uterus at a late stage of pregnancy. An appendix containing one plate, Tabularum uteri mulieris gravidae (Leiden, 1751), shows the fetus alone. The engravings are all by Wandelaer and the only text is that engraved on the plates themselves.
