During his very long life, Morgagni was a prodigious worker and prolific writer, although most of his writings were very specialized, dealing with a single condition of pathological anatomy, a single portion of the anatomy, or classical and literary subjects. The present collection of some of his lesser writings includes tracts on gallstones, certain medico-legal matters, letters to Lancisi on the manner of Cleopatra's death, and Morgagni's biography of his teacher, Valsalva (see No. 729).
