Boerhaave had collaborated with Albinus (see No. 829 ff.) in editing the works of Vesalius (see No. 280 ff.) and held him in the highest regard. Boerhaave felt greatly honored to deliver this memorial oration on his friend and colleague. The oration contains a fine engraving of Albinus.
