This long medical poem of Serenus Sammonicus' (see No. 44) was held in great esteem and was widely used for many years. Here it is accompanied by an extensive historical and philosophical commentary by Robert Keuchenius (fl. 1584), a professor at Amsterdam. Palaemon's De ponderibus et mensuris is also included in the text.
