JACOPO ZABARELLA (1533-1589) Iacobi Zabarellae ... De rebvs natvralibvs libri XXX. Quibus quaestiones, quae ab Aristotelis interpretibus hodie tractari solent, accuratè discutiuntur ... I. B. Ciotti aere 1590 [12] p., 976 columns, [22] p. 35 cm.
Though a Paduan at the time of the ascendency of the school there, Zabarella seems not to have been a part of the faculty. In this large and extensively indexed work he has written a mixed bag of commentary on Aristotle, as well as discussion of natural history, “celestial heat”, animal generation and parturition, vision, human intelligence, etc.
