Lommius' treatise on fevers was first published at Antwerp in 1563 and has here been translated for the first time into English by Thomas Dale (fl. 1728). In this, another of his immensely popular books, he discusses acute and continual fevers, the use of purging and bloodletting in the cure of fevers, and the use of diet as therapy in effecting a return to good health. Dale has also included a translation of Lommius' Medicinal observations (see No. 236) as the second part of the book.
