Another of Brasavola's many tracts written after his successful Examen omnium simplicium medicamentorum quorum in officinis usus est, this one concerned with electuaries, powdered drugs, confections, and cathartics. Electuaries and confections were nearly identical classes of preparations and were prepared from powdered drugs that had been mixed with honey or the syrup of sugared fruit juices.
