ELISHA BARTLETT (1804-1855) The history, diagnosis, and treatment of the fevers of the United States. Lea and Blanchard 1847 [2nd ed.]. xxi [3] [33]-547, 32 pp. 23 cm.

For more information on this author or work, see number: 1651

Bartlett comments in the Preface to this second edition, which has been issued under a new title, that "The History of Typhoid and of Typhus Fever remains much in the same state in the present as in the first edition, with such additions and developments only as further observation and study have enabled me to make. The History of Periodical, and of Yellow Fever, constituting one half of the volume, has been added to the present edition; thus rendering the work what it professes to be, a Systematic and Methodical Treatise on the Fevers of the United States."
