For more information on this author or work, see number: 789

Morgagni's Adversaria anatomica omnia, of which this is a late but complete edition, was first published as a unit in 1719. It was this series of publications that helped make him well known throughout Europe as an accurate anatomist, particularly as he corrected the errors of previous anatomists. Although the earliest of these writings was done in 1706, Morgagni was still vigorously active at the time of this edition, fifty-six years later, and his most famous work (see No. 792) had just appeared.
