Commentaries on the Regimen were common and one of the most famous of these is that of Arnaldus de Villanova, included in the present work, edited by Joannes Curio (d. 1561), a German physician. Interspersed throughout the text are rather crude but interesting small woodcuts of homely subjects: mealtime, milking cows, bathing, so forth.
