A London-born physician and member of the Barber-Surgeon’s Company, Turner published two works before being admitted as a licentiate of the College of Physicians. This work is a rebuttal to Thomas Dover’s Ancient physician’s legacy to his country, including an essay on the potential dangers of using mercury as a cure.
