This two-volume set represents a huge anthology on anatomy and physiology including many important contemporary writing and writers including Glisson, Malpighi, Willis, Lower, Havers, Vieussens and others. Included also is the complete text of William Harvey’s Exercitations de generatione animalium, Exercitatio de motu cordis, and Exercitationes de circulation sanguinis. Each of the works with engraved plates duplicating the originals – for example the “Circle of Willis” is nicely reproduced in the Cerebri Anatome also the case in works by Harvey, Lower and others. An impressive compilation of contemporary anatomical works, reproducing the original text and plates.
