Important for our knowledge of blood transfusion. Ettmüller published the 3rd treatise on the subject in 1668. Although valuable for its in-depth study of medicine at the time, this work is especially notable for its extended sections on the blood circulation and chyle. It is divided into three main parts; Physiology, Pathology and therapy. Ettmüller, professor at Leipzig, was the foremost representative of the German Iatrochemical School.
