Among the works in this first edition of Bellini's Opera are his two most important contributions on the urine and kidney. In De urinis et pulsibus he stressed the value of urine as a diagnostic aid. Exercitatio anatomica de structura et usu renum contained his noteworthy description of the anatomy of the kidney.
