This work contains Boyle's discussion of many physiological matters, especially those concerning the eye and defective vision. Boyle recognized that the site of the cataract is in the optic lens, and he included a number of case histories to substantiate his findings. This work contains the famous passage in which Boyle relates his conversation with William Harvey on how he discovered the circulation of the blood.
