This edition of Sydenham's collected works also contains treatises by Joannes Coccius (fl. 1670), Bartolomeo Boschetti (d. 1744), and Antonio Celestino Cocchi (1699-1747), as well as a number of dissertations on epidemics in various cities and regions of continental Europe during the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries. Among the authors represented are Bernardino Ramazzini, Walther Harris, Martin Lister, Charles Drelincourt, David Hamilton, and many others. William Musgrave's two treatises on arthritis (see Nos. 694 and 695) and a supplement containing additional works on plagues and epidemics by Karl Friedrich Loew (1699-1741), Andreas Loew (ca. 1660-ca. 1710), Giuseppe Lanzoni (1663-1730), and Carlo Ricca (1690-1746?) are also included.
