The first collected edition of these important works on the lymphatic system. Included are Jean Pecquet’s Experimenta Nova Anatomica and his Dissertatio Anatomica in which he published his discoveries of the thoracic duct and its relation to the lacteal vessels. Also present are Thomas Bartholin’s two great treatises, De Lacteis Thoracis and Vasa Lymphatica. The first on the discovery of the thoracic duct in man and the second on his discoveries of the important connection between the lymphatic system and the thoracic duct. The Munier tract, Virorum sententiae de lacte, et lacteis in thorace recensenturs completes the collection.
