Culpeper's works were enormously popular and enjoyed wide circulation and use. His herbal and English physitian underwent many editings and remained in print until well into the nineteenth century. The present edition is one of a series begun by the London publisher, Robert Evans, in the early 1800s and continued by Thomas Kelly until after 1850.
