For more information on this author or work, see number: 50

This highly original work on intestinal parasites, one of the earliest on the subject, was a chapter in the author's Practica, first printed in Lyons in 1504. Girolamo Mercuriale (see No. 354 ff.) later included the Greek text and his own Latin translation as an addition at the end of his Variarum lectionum libri quatuor of 1570 and 1571. It is usually found with Mercuriale's work but occasionally, as here, it is a separate.
