The substantially enlarged, second edition of Riolan’s magnum opus, written in the middle of his life and at the height of his fame. The contents are: Anthropographiae in seven books, Osteologia novantiqua comprising twenty-three chapters of “Isagoges”, De osteologia infantis, a commentary on a part of Galen’s Librum de Ossibus, a comparison of the skeletons of men and apes (pp.900-910), and Osteologia corporis humani ex Hippocrate…collecta.
