For more information on this author or work, see number: 416

This work is a facsimile reproduction of the notes Harvey used to prepare the Lumleian Lectures of 1616-1618. It was in these notes that he first recorded his discovery of the circulation. Opposite each page of Harvey's handwritten manuscript is a printed version of the Latin and occasional English that Harvey used to record his thoughts and observations. This is an interesting association copy for it was once owned by the library of the Royal College of Physicians.
