Harvey's major works in Latin have been printed only twice in collected form and this work is perhaps the better of the two. The text of this edition was prepared with extreme care and there is an extensive list of textual corrections following his works on the heart. In addition to his major works, the volume contains Harvey's biography, an autopsy report on Thomas Parr, a number of his letters, and the text of his diploma from Padua. Copy 2 is inscribed "Wm. Morley Fletcher from Wm. Osler. Oxford, March 11/15."
