As with all of his publications except Observationes anatomicae (see No. 331), this work of Fallopius was published posthumously. It consists of two lectures given at the University of Padua in 1556 and 1557 respectively, entitled "De thermalibus aquis atque metallis" and "De metallis seu fossilibus," and edited from lecture notes by Andreas Marcolini (fl. 1560), one of Fallopius' friends. The first work addresses the medicinal properties of mineral spring waters and the second is concerned with geology and mineralogy.
