For more information on this author or work, see number: 280

This scholarly work was translated from the Latin by Levi R. Lind (b. 1906) so that the very rare Epitome would be more readily available to modern readers. It more than fulfills that role, containing, in addition to the translation, facsimiles of the Latin text and figures, a very helpful introduction to the life and work of Vesalius, and a most useful table of Vesalius' Greek marginal notes which gives the Greek, Latin, and modern term for nearly all of the parts of the body.
