This is perhaps the author's scarcest book and is dedicated to Francis I, King of France. It includes Jean Vassès' (1486-1550) Latin translations of Galen's commentary on Hippocrates' De victus ratione in morbis acutis ("The regimen in acute diseases"), the Latin text of Hippocrates' work, and Brasavola's comments and analysis.
