Sluder, a prominent otorhinolaryngologist, spent nearly his entire career in the St. Louis area and was head of the department of laryngology and rhinology at Washington University Medical School for fifteen years. He wrote nearly seventy papers and two books. In this well-illustrated book, Sluder presents his research and clinical experience with headaches and disorders of the eye that have their origin in the nasal region. It was in this work that he first described Sluder's neuralgia, neuralgia of the spenopalatine ganglion.
