In this series of letters to eleven of his patients, Oppenheim sets forth many of the principles he used in treating nervous diseases. Intended largely as guidance and instruction for his colleagues, he promised to prepare another series of cases during the following year. He fulfilled his promise by publishing two more editions, the last in 1910.
