Déjérine and his student, André Thomas, had described olivopontocerebellar atrophy in 1900. Déjérine again collaborated with Thomas in writing the present treatise on diseases of the spinal cord. It was so well conceived and noteworthy that they received the Montyon prize for their work on this subject in 1910. This presentation copy was signed by Déjérine.
