In addition to Bramwell's neurological interests, he had wide clinical experience in general medicine, evidenced by the wide range of subjects covered in this work. Dermatology, nervous diseases, endocrinology, psychiatry, and infectious diseases are among the many specialties Bramwell covers and his clear, concise text indicates why he was one of the most successful teachers and clinicians of his time. The three volumes are richly illustrated with 100 fine chromolithographs as well as many photographs and line drawings.
