After performing these experiments into the nature of hypnotism in 1887, Krafft-Ebing concluded that hypnotism relied heavily on physical suggestion and that post-hypnotic suggestions can result from autohypnotic conduct. In this second edition, the text has been carefully revised and a great deal of supplementary material has been added.
