The first Spanish anatomy book in the Spanish language, the second anatomy book published in Spain, and the work that introduced Vesalian illustrations to Spain. Montana made some original observations on the cardiac cycle in his anatomy, and has been viewed as a precursor to Harvey. The Vesalian woodcuts include two musclemen from the Fabrica, the venous and arterial systems from the Fabrica and Epitome, the nervous system, internal organs and skeleton (two of these from Berengario and Dryander).
