Rilliet, of Geneva, wrote this important and comprehensive work on pediatrics with his colleague Barthez. The book received awards from a number of academies of science and medicine and is notable for its classic descriptions of pediatric diseases. One of the earliest works on pediatrics as a specialty, it contains case studies to show the etiology, clinical course, therapy, and pathology of a disease. The work went through three editions and was also translated into German.
