The present work is the modern Russian translation of the three books of Fracastoro's De contagione et contagiosis morbis et curatione. Fracastoro's work remains a landmark in medical history and continues to be a point of departure for those interested in studying contagious diseases. The work was translated by Konstantin Mikhailovich Bykov (b. 1886).
