Ricord's extensive work with venereal diseases at the Hôpital du Midi is chronicled here in sixty-six superb colored lithographs illustrating a multitude of conditions at various levels of infection in both sexes. The illustrations were drawn from nature by Bion and Beau and are accompanied by case histories and treatment modes.
