A second edition of Bourgery's great treatise was published at Paris in nine volumes between 1867 and 1871, under the editorship and guidance of Bernard. Among the several collaborators were Hirschfeld (see No. 1833), Bourgery's protégé, and Léveillé, Jacob's pupil. This supplement for Volume VII was published with the second edition and deals chiefly with gynecological surgery. A treatise on diseases of the uterus by Auguste Philibert Duchaussoy (1827-1913) is also included.
