The third edition of Hall's Diagnosis of disease was published in London in 1837 under the present title. The present work is the first American edition, based on the third edition of Hall's textbook, edited by Jacob Bigelow (see No. 1443 ff.) and Oliver Wendell Holmes (see No. 1742 ff.) for use as a text in several American medical schools.
