For more information on this author or work, see number: 142

The present work consists of a series of nearly four hundred aphorisms divided into fifteen short books. They are, for the most part, very practical in nature and are likely the result of the experiences of his many years in clinical medicine. Very few of the aphorisms are of a philosophical or ethical nature but most are practical suggestions characteristic of the best medical knowledge of the late fifteenth century.
