The present work was prepared under Sugita's supervision by Shokei Matsuda (fl. 1800) as a supplement to Sugita's Ganka shinsho (see No. 1419). In this supplement are suggested therapies, remedies, and advice taken from other European writers of the day, as well as original Japanese prescriptions. The illustrations in this volume consist of chemical and pharmaceutical apparatus.
