Complete Record - Heirs of Hippocrates No. 1253

ALEXANDER PHILIP WILSON PHILIP (1770-1851) A treatise on the nature and cure of those diseases, either acute or chronic, which precede change of structure; with a view to the preservation of health, and, particularly, the prevention of organic diseases. E. J. Coale 1831 328 pp. 21.3 cm.

As one of the most popular physicians in Worcester, England, Philip enjoyed a successful and lucrative practice. He also managed to write a number of medical works on a variety of subjects, those on the therapeutic value of mercury being, perhaps, best known. This work on the diagnosis of various premorbid states was one of Philip's best.
