Del Medico, professor of surgery at Rome, prepared this atlas of human anatomy for artists and sculptors. The thirty-eight copperplates with engraved explanatory captions include illustrations of muscles, internal organs, complete skeletons similar to those of Albinus, and two views of the Borghese gladiator.
