Waterhouse taught at Cambridge and was a lecturer in natural history at the College of Rhode Island, teaching not just on medicine but also botany and geology. This is the first part of a collection of some of those lectures. It gives a “history of science in general, and medicine in particular”, with an outline of famous physicians, Linnaeus’ system of classification, parts of the body and their processes, and a note on animals.
