The first two volumes of the second edition of Desault's surgical works were published in 1801 and this third volume appeared in 1803. The volume was revised and augmented by Philibert Joseph Roux (1780-1854), the celebrated French surgeon. Since the volume deals primarily with genitourinary diseases, it is not uncommon to find it included with the first edition (see No. 1052), as here.
