16.6 cm.

Guerin studied medicine at Montpellier and was chief surgeon at the Hôtel Dieu in Lyons when he wrote the present work. A comprehensive treatise, the volume covers all the common diseases and injuries of the eye. The single folding plate depicts a special instrument he designed for the extraction of cataracts.
