Maximinus, also known for his edition of Eustachius' plates, is but one of many individuals who wrote commentaries on the works of Hippocrates. This commentary on fractures includes five full-page plates illustrating primitive methods used to reduce fractures. At the top of each page are several lines of Hippocrates' text in Latin followed by Maximinus' commentary.
